Education of Ashneer Grover

He completed his initial schooling at Delhi Public School. Subsequently, he pursued a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Delhi College. After that he decided to spend a year studying at Insa Lyon University, in France. Once he completed his studies he returned to India. Ashneer Grover Career

• He became Vice Chairman at Kotak Finance Banking after being selected during campus placement from IIM. He remained with Kotak for nearly seven years starting in 2006.
• In 2013, Ashneer joined American Express, a company providing Paytm card services, and worked there for two years.
• Leaving American Express in 2015, he became the CFO of Grofers (Blinkit).
• He worked at PC Jeweler as the Head of New Jewellery in 2017 for a year.
• Then, in 2018, he co-founded Bharat Pay along with Saswat Nakrani.
• 2021 saw a new career milestone as he became a judge on Shark Tank India.
• On March 1, 2022, Ashneer Grover resigned from Bharat Pay.

Starting BharatPe Business

As we mentioned before, he always dreamt of having his own business. So, in 2018, he started his own company called Bharat Pe. At the beginning, he needed to pay his employees, but there wasn’t enough money. Luckily, his wife pitched in and helped with tasks like banking, HR, and finances for the company.

Why Grover had to separate from BharatPe company

You might already know that on March 1, 2022, Ashneer Grover stepped down from his role as MD and Co-Founder of BharatPe Company.

The board members of Bharat Pe Company, which is a Bangalore-based Fintech Pvt Ltd, accused Ashneer of various wrongdoings. They claimed that Ashneer treated them poorly and with disrespect, almost like they were being treated as subordinates.

Because of these accusations, earlier this year, a 4-minute 29-second audio recording of Ashneer started circulating online. In the audio, Ashneer could be heard using offensive language while talking to an employee of Kotak Mahindra Bank. The image below provides more details about the disagreement involving Ashneer.

Ashneer reached out to the Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC) in hopes of investigating the allegations made against him. Unfortunately their assistance was not forthcoming. Consequently Ashneer Grover found himself compelled to resign from his position, in the presence of the companys board members. The company also let go of Ashneer’s wife, Madhuri, because they believed she was involved in the company’s business matters and did something wrong.
